Hypnotherapy

What is Hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a heightened state of suggestibility that everyone experiences on a daily basis. Have you ever been watching a movie and cried, got scared or had an emotional reaction to it? If so, then you were in a hypnotic state.

If you ever missed your exit while driving your regular commute because you’re “spaced out”, you were in hypnosis.

It is during these periods that our subconscious mind is extremely open and receptive to suggestions. This can come from our own thoughts or from our environment.

The truth is, we go in and out of hypnosis several times a day without even knowing it.

Why Choose Hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy is simply combining the powerful tool of hypnosis in a safe environment with a skilled, understanding, trained hypnotherapist. The first step is to discuss any goals or desires you may have with your Hypnotherapist. At that point you both agree on a therapeutic approach to solving your problem.

While under hypnosis, your Hypnotherapist will work with your subconscious mind to support these goals becoming a reality in your life.

During the hypnotic session, you are not asleep. In fact, your mind is quite alert and you are very in tune with all that is happening around you. Your senses are heightened and you are able to concentrate on what the Hypnotherapist is saying.

Everything that occurs during your Hypnotherapy session can be recalled. You will leave feeling refreshed and alert with a wonderful sense of well-being.

It is important to know that most issues will require more than one session and some may require several sessions before success is achieved. It takes time and repetition for new things to be integrated into the subconscious mind.

What is a Hypnotherapist?

A hypnotherapist is a trained professional who utilizes hypnosis as a primary tool for assisting clients to achieve their goals. A Hypnotherapist often differs from others therapists by focusing on the role of subconscious behaviors and influences on the client’s life.

It is important for you to choose a well trained Hypnotherapist.  Do not hesitate to ask where the Hypnotherapist attended school.  Was it a college or a weekend class?  This information could be a critical factor to the results you may have in hypnosis sessions.

As for myself,  I am proud to say that I graduated from the Hypnosis Motivation Institute, a highly accredited college in the United States. My course studies were a year long and even though I have graduated, I continue to further my education regularly, through courses offered by the American Hypnosis Association.

Quit Smoking

Do you have the desire to quit the dangerous and costly habit of smoking? Have you already tried to quit before, but you are still struggling?

Breaking the habit of smoking can be almost impossible but hypnosis can make the transition much easier than if you tried to quit on your own. Hypnosis is a unique approach to reprogramming the subconscious mind away from smoking.

This is not a “One and Done” approach. Even though stopping is possible in the first session, subsequent sessions are needed to reinforce and strengthen your ability to remain a permanent ex-smoker.

Stress Relief

On a day-to-day basis we can experience a high level of stress, tensions or just worrisome events. Everyday life can expose you to many stressors that can spiral out of control and wreak havoc on your life.  Maybe your stress is induced by a life changing event such as a death, divorce, or new adventure. If you are feeling the effects of stress, take your life back by improving your ability to handle it! Hypnosis can cultivate skills to confidently control how you respond to stress. Don’t let stress control your mind!

Weight Loss

Have you tried multiple diets or pills only to be left hungry or unable to kick your unhealthy eating habits? The problem with diets or pills is that they do not take into account any emotional or lifestyle challenges you may face. Hypnotherapy can help you break down the barriers preventing you from successful weight loss by shaping your mind into healthy enjoyable habits and destroying your old impulsive ones! Take the first step towards truly reaching your goals by creating lifelong changes with your exercise and eating habits.

Pain Management

Does your everyday life revolve around chronic pain? Have you tried several ways to heal your pain, but nothing seems to work? Pain, whether it is manageable or not, can have a huge impact on your life. In hypnotherapy you are guided to your internal ability to heal. You hold the power within to manage, heal, and relieve the pain that has resisted all other methods of treatment.

Sleep Problems

Have you ever found yourself racing with thoughts as you try to go to sleep? Or maybe you toss and turn all night worrying about everything you need to accomplish tomorrow.

Sleep deprivation causes you to feel frustrated, in return causing your body and mind to become incapable of relaxingWhether you suffer from insomnia, nightmares, or night terrors, hypnotherapy can help guide you to relief.

The subconscious patterns of sleep disturbance your body develops and embeds can be broken with hypnotherapy. In addition to teaching relaxation techniques, hypnotherapy teaches you how to identify triggers that could be causing your problem.

Achieving Goals

Do you find it difficult to stay motivated? Perhaps you have a goal in mind, but your fear prevents you from pursuing it. Hypnotherapy can assist you in aligning your subconscious thinking with your conscious aspirations. You will be able to work on inner clarity and drive that your subconscious mind was inhibiting while in this relaxed condition. This brings you to a clearer, more focused version of yourself, ready to achieve all of your objectives.
